What is an SEO championship in general?
An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) championship is a competition in which the participants (who in a sane world are webmasters) design, host and publicise their web page in such a way that it ranks at the top of a SERP (Search Engine Result Page) for a particular keyword for the major search engines like google, yahoo and msn (with the main focus obviously being google who eat 85% of the online advertisement business’ pie).
For example, if the keyword for a particular SEO championship is “Busby SEO Challenge”, then, webmasters design their participating web page for the keyword “Busby SEO Challenge”. The competition is generally for three to four months. At the end of the competition, google.com is searched for “Busby SEO Challenge”. The website thats first in the search engine result page (SERP) is declared the winner. Well, there can be variations to this rule if you want to consider other search engines as well. But, this is the basic idea.
